ESAPRINT 21 Ink Transfer

By applying a regulated high negative voltage to the semi conductive coating of the impression roller, an electrostatic field is generated in the area of the printing nip. This field exerts an upward pull on the ink surface. Because of this electrostatic pull, the ink rises above the surface of the cell around the perimeter, and thus increasing the probability of contact with the substrate.
