The best location for a spot ionizer is usually just after the area where the static charge is being generated or just before where the problem is located. Our electrostatic Fieldmeter provides an easy way to identify the static build up causing your specific problem.
WSI’s AVALANCHE 10 edge/spot ionizing system is easily integrated into any production process.  Make sure to mount the spot ionizer with a 0.5 – 1.0 in (12-25mm) gap above the substrate surface that needs to be discharged. See Fig.1

Mounting Example: Edge Ionization

The mounting brackets are attached to the frame of the machine above the substrate. The spot ionizers are placed at the edges where the substrate needs to be discharged. Rail configurations are custom made, please check specifications for size “L�. See Fig.2
